I used to own the standard dvd version but chucked it when I upgraded to blu ray. Now it's just one scene in particular that bothers me because I could have sworn it was different on the standard dvd version. It's where the trucker guy is in the bathroom on the crapper "reading" the porn mag and I could swear that you actually see a shot of the inside of the magazine on the standard dvd but you definitely don't on the BD. It's not that HUGE of a deal but I thought I remembered seeing it before and if I'm right then wtf else did I lose that was cut? Luckily my sister has my old copy since I gave it to her so now I'm going to watch it and see but I was curious if anyone here on CB noticed this or any other differences in certain scenes being cut between the 2 releases?

Hum, haven't noticed. But isn't there a uncut version and a reg version on that original DVD? Maybe its different based on that?

I remember in the theater there being a completely different escape scene but its not on either version of the DVD...

Yeah there is. For the regular dvd I had the Uncut version which explains why I would remember that shot and I'm not sure what was released for BD. I'll have to verify what version I have on BD when I get home from work but I did look up Halloween on blu ray movie reviews and it looks like only the 2 disc uncut version was released on BD. I'm lost. Lol.

I own the director's cut on DVD. I do not watch this film very often but when I do I just watch it was way Rob intended it to be seen.

I don't care about who intended what for a movie. I just go with whatever version I like better
