So I watched this again the other night and a few things didn't make sense (if it wasn't just a dream that is):

1. Why the hell did the survivors bother dumping Jason's body into the lake? What a waste of time and effort. It's like they're hiding evidence for no good reason. STUPID. Who the fuck would do that?

and

2. It was pretty obvious they dumped Jason's messed up hockey mask into the lake next to Jason and the strap was broken. Forgive me if I saw this wrong, but when he jumped out of the lake, didn't he have the mask on again? WTF?

Guess I'm just used to Jason taking all sorts of punishment and coming back no matter what. But ok, I'll pile it on...the producers try to say that he wasn't supernatural in this movie. Well if he drowned, then he is supernatural. Period. And if he came back at the end, he is supernatural. Period!

Okay, in response to question one: Total agreement, that was stupid, especially for Clay. Now he's got nothing but a wild story about some undead killer, whose body he disposed of, and a house full of cut up teenagers, one of whom he was seen arguing with in public the day of the killings. Add to that the fact that he was also the last person to see Donnie alive, the tunnels with Jason's lair where Whitney was held are now destroyed by the fire, so there's no evidence there, the only witness he has is his sister, which lessens her credibility as a witness due to their relationship, who is going to probably end up institutionalized with PTSD. Oh, and there's a shit ton of weed lying around the place. The world's dumbest cops and the world's worst prosecutor would have no problem turning that into a drug deal gone wrong and sending Clay to the chair.

Question Two: Didn't look like he had the mask on to me, but it doesn't matter since that was just a dream sequence.

But, yeah, the ending definitely opens up your plot holes, lol.

Yeah the mask part I can't be to sure about. The first time I saw the movie I thought he wasn't wearing his mask but when I watched it again the other night he looked to be wearing it (the killer cut). I can't be sure. Maybe someone knows the real answer.

Yeah, the two different cuts definitely add to the confusion, since I think it was different in each.
