Message:: Hi website girl, I think you should stop begging for money. Websites are practically free these days lady. When are you living? 1998? Scamming poor fans who don't know any better. It only costs 12 bucks for a domain name per year and not so much more to host. So I don't know what type of scam you're into. You want money? Get a job and you wouldn't have to beg fans for dough to host your website. I'm not writing to bash you or anything, but it's fairly obvious that you are scamming some of the dumber site visitors. Smooches.

Its hilarious that people get so angry that I ask for DONATIONS to help run the site, most sites do. I'm not MAKING people pay me, they donate if they want.

I'd also like to address the fees....I pay $35 a year (or maybe thats two years I can't remember right this second) for EACH domain name. I have more then one, I have 3. That includes hiding my REAL full name, phone number, and address because that is public info if I don't pay to hide it. And I don't need people getting that information.

Hosting is $85 a year. So...$85 is not much more then $12? LOL. This person obviously doesn't run a website, can't do math, and has no idea what they are talking about. Obviously they are not a fan of this site or me. In fact, I'm pretty sure its the same person who sent the last two emails dissing me for asking for donations...Websites are free if you host them with crappy free sites and then you have MANY specific limits that you do not have if you BUY hosting...if you view my domain name info, it says WHO I host with and where I got my domain name - Host Gator & GoDaddy. So anyone can look up the services I've mentioned and see the fees. The fees for existing members, not new members who get discounts.

I also love how people assume I have no job too. I do, I run this website, and another website, and how do you think I get paid for that? I don't. Other then advertisements and donations (which go back into the site) and I used to run a few music based sites where I got $25/hr. and not like its ANYONE else's business but I have health conditions limiting what I can do, and I've been needed in helping out with my sister (who has been ill for months) and her children. I do what I can when I can.

I just find it funny when these people try to be big and bad but then can't even give a real address and I feel like I have to defend myself, which is exactly what they want. They are no different then "cyber bullies" get off on pissing all over people on the internet cause they don't have the balls to do it in person and feel they need to hide behind their computer screen to get away with stuff.

I'm not scamming anyone and if anyone feels that way they can continue to feel that way or leave the site, I don't care because I KNOW I'm not doing anything wrong and I'm not hurting anyone. I'm not the fake beggar on the side of the road with a sign begging for money to survive, with my starbucks coffee my Ipod and my cell phone. Heck, when I got in the pinch I'm in now I'm SELLING items to make $ to pay, not scamming people into giving me money for the hell of it.

In the end why should I HAVE to pay for this site out of my own pocket? Seriously? It started as a hobby on a free host. The site got HUGE and expanded. It needed to be moved to a paid host. To keep this site costs $...and when it comes down to it those that donate don't want to see the site come down because they consider it their home. As I said above, if you have problems with this, then leave the site and keep your mouth shut, nobody wants to hear it. The proof is in all the responses in the previous "hate mail" threads, and probably the responses I get to this thread, not to mention all the wonderful VERY helpful people who have donated in the past.

Oh Kat, I feel sad that you felt you had to explain all that. But it was a good reminder. Places like this don't run themselves and I've been on other sites that REQUIRED members to pay.

True, but its in the US. So...its not Tord Plus, depending on where and how you trace them, it gives you quite detailed info about the location the IP is coming from. I just don't like to give all my info where the person who's sending the message can see it and hide their info which now in explaining this I've done just that...

Trust me, I know how IP's work. I did a lot of "sleuthing" back in the day to catch a stalker I had. I did all the IP tracing, and gave the info to the police, once that was done they set up an operation with cameras to catch the dude...and yes, he was caught and prosecuted.
