New York has a new problem...

Two Irish brothers accidentally killed mafia thugs. They turned themselves in and were released as heroes. They then see it as a calling by God and started knocking off mafia gang members one by one. Willem Dafoe plays the detective trying to figure out the killings, but the closer he was to catching the Irish brothers, the more he thinks the brothers are doing the right thing.

I know most of you probably have seen this movie.

If you haven't SEE IT!! It's a great mix of humor and action.

I love this movie it's great! So I thought it'd be cool to have a discussion thread.

This movie is awesome but I think I liked it more when there wasn't much of a following. I liked it as an underground indie action film, but now there's t-shirts, merchandise, a sequel (which I haven't seen but heard it's not as good) and just recently news about a game to play on your mobile phone. Well all that aside though there is a lot to like in this film, from the soundtrack, to the direction, and of course the humor. There are a lot of quotable lines and I like the relationship of the two brothers, as well as the "symbolism."

Besides how terrifying is seeing William Dafoe dressed as a woman?

...I rest my case. This movie is a must see.

I always thought Dafoe looked more terrifying in the woman costume but without the wig

Yeah that image is incredibly disturbing without the wig, but any way you slice it Dafoe in drag isn't pretty.

I always loved the scene where he is in bed with another man and the guy keeps trying to cuddle with him, then Dafoe slaps him! lol

"What are doing?"

"I just wanted to cuddle."

"Cuddle? What a fag."

That image is what nightmares are made of. And here I thought that Dafoe looked frightening as Max Shreck/Nosferatu in Shadow of the Vampire..dead wrong I was.
