I really enjoy PSYCHO II and III. They were really well-made sequels and didn't insult the original. Perkins did a terrifc job of reprising the role of Norman.
Anybody else out there into these flicks?

I LOVE the original, of course.
i love all 4 Psycho movies !! pt 2 is my fav , but the others are good as well .
my 3rd best horror series , behind F13th and Halloween

I wanna get the Triple Feature that Universal just released of Psycho II, Psycho III and Psycho IV----which is the first time Psycho IV has been out. I have been wanting a DVD of that one for years. I already have the first 3, but will gladly buy this set for Psycho IV.

The triple feature is awesome! The four Tony Perkins Psycho films are all awesome! The remake was shit.

i did like Psycho III , but yeah , there was a different 'feel' to it ..
Anthoney Perkins directed it , so maybe his style was not so great ??

I was never a fan of the Psycho sequels in particular. The 2nd movie was alright and the 3rd wasn't that great but I did enjoy the 4th one. I felt that it brought back some necessary elements that were missing from the previous two and it wasn't just another sleazy slasher.

I've seen the first sequel.
The story is interesting, but the rhythm is too slow unfortunately, it was hard to not fall asleep in the first 45 minutes. After that, it get better  Smiley

The second sequel is really good, closer to the first movie and more violent in the murders.

Psycho II almost surpasses the original in terms of quality and scare factors. Just that one scene alone where Anthony Perkins is staring up at that shabby mansion on the hill for the first time in 22 years. The look on his face says it all. It makes you think of his line in the original Psycho, where he tells Marion Crane that some people stumble into their own private traps, while he was born into his. "Now I'm back in the trap." The bear trap of a house has got him again. The asylum must have seemed like an escape from a worse prison to him. All that old, dark wood, cavernous rooms and how it looks like that Edward Hopper painting The House By The Railroad.

Psycho III shows the area looking even more like a wasteland, with scrub and desert all around. There's no more lush greenery, and I think that was deliberate. It's a reflection on Norman's degrading state of mind, which was never healthy to begin with, as well as the house and motel. It's a bit more trashy than II, but Perkins might have been deliberate with that, too. The elegance of the original and II has been replaced by pure madness, with Norman donning the wig and dress again, seedy characters popping up at the motel.
