I love characters who are developed like Tommy Jarvis over a series of three films, or even Tina, Ginny, and Chris who we actually really get to know them. Crazy Ralph was another one who we really got to know, even though there wasn't much to know.

I think the remake had a couple good characters like that. Trey and his sister make good characters with a backstory and can reoccur.

Sadly I don't know if I see a sequel being made any time soon. I would love for one to be made, because it would be the 13th Friday the 13th movie ever made and in the year 2013. I think that could be a definite draw.

The remake made a lot of money for the studio.  Granted, a lot of that was made the first weekend, since they released it on a Friday the 13th and cashed in on the nostalgia of the series, but you'd think they made enough cash to warrant making another one.

Let's hope so !

I really think we'll get another one , due to the success of the remake and the angle of having the 13th movie in the series . To have it come out in 2013 would be a pure bonus ...

The ultimate bonus would be to watch it in the theatre - if they actually make one.

Yeah , that would be great !

The only F13th movie i ever saw in the theatre was the 2009 remake , so i'd certainly go to the (hopefully) upcoming sequel .

I've seen most of them in the theatre.  Jason X I saw alone in the theatre.

I saw Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X, Freddy vs. Jason, and the 2009 version of Friday the 13th in theaters. I also was the 2010 version of A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween: Resurrection, and the two Halloween films made by Rob Zombie in theaters.

I would've loved to see Jason Goes to Hell in theaters, but at twelve years old, knew my parents would never even consider it.  I saw Jason X, Freddy Vs Jason, and the remake in the theater, though, and also Part 2 at a marathon.

I saw the remake in a local theater filled with 12 year old kids.

I would've walked into the theater and walked right back out.  Nothing says wasted evening like a theater filled with loud, obnoxious kids.

But I'm a sucker for F13 movies.
