Hmm.. seems more and more likely that it won't happen.

I wish it would, and they go with the snow idea, could be fun.

.. If it were done right..

If this would be going to be done with love and affection of Horror Films. This could be a great film, like the original remake. That was a shit cake.

I hope you don't mean best remake of all time! In a while, yes.

I still think that John Carpenters The Thing is the greatest remake.

Personally I would love to see another Friday in the theater, but unfortunately I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

I always thought the snow idea would have given a nice change of pace, which would have been great.

On March 31, Brad Fuller of Platinum Dunes posted a message on his Twitter account that said the following:

Landing at lax in 15 mins. Got to keep pushing Jason rock up this huge mountain.

After Mr. Fuller tweeted that message, he was asked if there was any word on a new Nightmare or Friday the 13th movie, in which Brad responded with the following:

thanks, we are trying to get something started and as soon as we do I will let you know.

I'm still out on whether I want to see a sequel to the remake or not. I mean, it was a good remake, but I'm not sure what they would do next or if the winter scenario would work as well as we would hope.

i hope we do get more sequels , Jet !!
as long as they are produced by avid , enthusiastic fans of the series , IMO

i really liked the new spin on Jason in the remake , especially how he was 'smart' and human ...... no hocus pocus or cartoon imagery at all .

as a lifelong fan of F13th ( mainly the 1st few entries ) , i think they should capitalize on the early history and settings .. Jason's father , being set at Camp Crystal Lake , genuine scares and an eerie , foreboding atmosphere .

these films will never be Oscar winners , nor are they intended to be . but look at how quickly a movie and sequel like Hatchet , has become a cult fav . F13th should be continued in the path of the 2009 vision , and return Jason to his rightful place as a top horror icon for this and the next generation .
it took a few viewings , but the remake sits very well and ranks very high with me !!

Hopefully we'll get this someday, I just hope it doesn't take as long as Freddy vs Jason did. Sad
