With more news coming out about this upcoming film, I thought it was time to get rid of the old long thread and open a new one.

Instead of posting all news items in this first post, news will be posted on Camp Blood now that the site is revamped.

Anyone and everyone is welcome and encouraged to share news & rumors they find. Just please be sure to link (if possible) to the original news source. If its a rumor, be sure to state that its currently a rumor.

I think that was a total mix up. I believe that guy is filming a different horror movie and a website claimed that he was playing Jason in this film and that it was already filming.

i wish it wouldn't be titled with a 2 in it.
liek a subtitle would be nice.
becuase the reboot/remake wasnt really like a remake it could in fact be a sequel.
lets just say he lost his mask at the end of freddy vs jason.
it was all scratched up any way and yea he made tunnels.
you know what i dont care its a sequel to me lol

I like that Idea, but how did Jason get his fingers back? If we say he got them back via his regeneration powers, then that would mean we would have to acknowledge Jason X as a part of this continuity.
 
Honestly, there are some things about the original series that I'd just as soon forgot ever happened.
The only real advantage I see for having a remake as opposed to another sequel is that we get to sweep movies like JX and JgtH aside.

Ever since the new movie came out back in February,I keep hearing people say that this could be considered another sequel but I can't see how it can be.To me its always going to be a remake.

Saw on Bloody-disgusting today that they plan on shooting the next installment in 3D. Seems ironic though, Jason can only see out of one eye. So if Jason were to go see himself on the big screen, it would only be in blury 2D for him.  Wink

Not only would it be 3-D for Part 3...it would be mimicking what the original series did, so it would be another nod to the original series.

I really think they should get cameo's from the original series

Anyone wanna get what might be big in this movie, since its the thirteenth movie in the series?
And lets hope its not the snow, because although thats not surprising, its not that big.
