When Dan Farrands spoke about this, he mentioned everything BUT the gore being restored; he merely said "outtakes" and "alternate footage".  Can we get some confirmation that the gore that was cut to get an "R" ratng will actually be on the DVD features?

I would guess with the slashed scenes, that yea there would be more gore.

I don't remember anyone saying anything about added gore for any of the other releases other then Pt. 1

I'm not gonna put his contact info out there on the web as I don't know if its out there already, or that he'd want me to....and he's a very busy man.

I can try, as I said, he's a very busy guy.

And yes, I know you mean in the slashed scenes area. They never really mentioned it specifically for the other films

For what it's worth I think it's a mistake to not mention it specifically.  I know these updated releases are mainly for new fans just getting into the series and die hards like us, but it would be a smarter marketing choice to explain that they are going to release unseen footage that was cut to meet the MPAA requirements.  My Bloody Valentine (originally) did it with about 65 seconds of new material and the DVD sold very well.  I assume F13 could capitalize even more so on that kind of marketing.
