Hahaha, seriously? I still go out and actively search for old VHS tapes! In fact, many video stores around here still sell them, and I'm always picking them up when they're on sale! The first time I ever saw Halloween, or Nightmare on Elm Street -- or any of those classic slasher films -- was on VHS, so I just get so nostalgic watching them that way!

I've actually held onto a lot of my horror collection on VHS for the art work. I HATE when they change shit for dvd/BD!
If they keep the art work on the dvd/BD release then I dump the vhs. I've also managed to copy a lot of my vhs over to dvd as well to try and make some space. Too much shit in my collection!! LOL!

I have all my old VHS horror tapes. But when I was a kid VHS was super expensive LOL...so we never bought stuff really. Always recorded stuff off TV. So really I don't have any other then Halloween/Friday The 13th.
But yeah Tallee...I'm a total DVD/BluRay gal now

I still don't have a high-def TV, but I have a blu-ray player. It's ridiculous, haha. I'm watching movies in high-def on a stupid old television. Honestly, for movies it doesn't bother me as much as it does when I play xBox. I just feel like if I had a new TV, I'd truly be an unstoppable killing machine at Modern Warfare online, haha.

Oh you guys... the best way to enjoy these 80s slasher flicks is the way god intended them to be enjoyed: on scratchy old VHS tapes!
Although I have upgraded all my movies to DVD/Blu-Ray, I agree that the VHS versions have a certain charm. Halloween 2 terrified me on VHS, then the DVD came along and it was too 'clean'. This kill in particular is far superior on VHS:
Halloween II (1981) - Janet's Death Scene
I'm gonna check out Hell Night on Netflix. Sounds like my cup of tea!

Oh absolutely. Give me VHS copies of EVIL DEAD and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE any day of the week! I just don't feel that digital restoration is always the best thing. Sometimes, I want my films to be dirty, scratching, and I want to adjust the tracking myself, damnit!

I got around to watching this the other night. It was good fun! Some good, genuine frights and characters I actually cared about. Plus, it was awesome to see our very own Peter Barton in a leading role and Linda Blair was as cool as always! I will be recommending it to my fellow slasher fiends!

I love this movie and was hoping for a BD release but sadly it hasn't happened yet.
Only thing that disappointed me was we didn't get to see Linda Blair's lovely jiggley's that are basically bouncing around in our faces the whole damn time!

Haha, I thought that was awesome her tits were just jumping all over the place in it. She's really pretty in this movie. Was she even of age when she made it though? I have no idea...

Yeah I thought this was a pretty good movie. I also still love VHS tapes, I've actually got some real cheap on Ebay lately, but I need to get a new vcr.
