My thoughts on this film are fairly simple. It was a decent slasher movie. Not great, not bad, decent.
The Jason Voorhees character was strong, and I liked him. Pamela Voorhees, not so much.
Overall it is a cut and dry 3 out of 5 stars for me.

just got watching 2nd time... i actually like trent.. he's such a good asshole..... maybe its becuase im in a bad mood.. but i loved him this time around... chewey and lawrence both hilarious.. along with the redneck hillbilly.......
Spoiler
(hover to show)
who i am now convinced that JV killed him for picking his crop.. haha
.........both brie and chelsea were superficail bitches.....didnt even get to know chelsea at all before she gets killed off.. along with nolan....who looks friggin 35.....i was still more interested with the first group of "young adults".....
Spoiler
(hover to show)
and whitney should have been killed off in the beggining.. becuase JV doesnt ever EVER take hostages...and it was just too coincadental (for me) that clay was able to find her....and yes i dislike the "say hello to mommy... in hell!" line.. even worse than the 1st time i heard it.. definatly reminds me of the end of FvJ when lori says "go to hell!''
...... thr funniest part for me is
Spoiler
(hover to show)
when brie crashes through the car windshield and trent scremas like a fukin bitch girl.. haha
....still a watchable movie... thoroughly enjoyable... better than JGTH, Jasonx, and FvJ.... but still a part of the newline family...

I wanted to see more or Mrs V, but other than that the movie was pretty good. Some good kills, some humor and a little back story. Jason was pretty freaky that's for sure. Seems like he enjoyed standing behind people.

I could have swore that one of the straps on the mask was broke when you saw it sink. Dream sequence?

I finally got to go to see this, and I gotta say, it was better than the Halloween remake.
Spoiler

I liked the way, Jason hunted his victims, but the kids got on my nerves, loved the way Chewy was killed, and Jenna's death... was unexpected and kinda sad, I thought she was going to live, but I am really happy cause,
A SEQUEL IS PROBABLY GOING TO HAPPEN!

I saw it again last night cashing in my Hollywood Movie Money ticket for the 7:20pm show. And with $45M so far there's no doubt that there's gonna be another Friday the 13th Part 2.

I watched this movie last night and all I have to say was that Jason Voorhees(Derek Mears) pushed the button on the ass kicking machine!
