i just got back from the midnight showing and..............
AAAAAAHHHHH!!! this is a great movie! felt so much like a friday the 13th movie!
DEFINITLY WORTH THE WAIT! i loved it! 100 out of 10! here are some scenes i loved the most SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!!!

I LOVED THE OPENING! mrs voorhees was so CREEEEPY! like a frekin witch! i loved how they showed little jason's hands and legs! i loved the chacters jenna i was SO SO SO SO MAD SHE DIES!!! whitney and clay are awesome too! favorite line: say hello to mommy in hell!!

overall SUCH A GREAT REIMAGENING OF THE first 3 Films!

Overall it had a great feel to it. I am very disappointed at the ending though. I thought it built up nicely then just cut short. The acting for the most part was bearable but I do think Jared Padalecki was very good. Much better then a Jason Ritter or any other actor from part 6 forward.

The whole jumping through the deck was so expected. And I thought Pamela was weakly portrayed as well. I did go in with low expectations and for the most part I liked the film but I am just really upset with the ending. Jason was a fucking monster though, I am so glad that they brought him back the way he is supposed to be. He was very smart and moved like Rambo. I liked the way he set-up his kills. I wish they just would have gone more into depth with his character. Most of the moments were very short. I thought Whitney's mother line at the end was so corny.    

I do however tip my hat to Derek Mears! GREAT JASON! He shits on Kane Hodder, CJ Graham, and Kirzinger. But I still love White and Brooker a lot more.  Ehh, Im still soaking it in. But on a scale of 1-10 Im going to have to give this one a 7.5. No where near Part 3 or TFC.

by the way i heard at a preview screening , they showed some scenes that the theatre release wouldnt have , and one of those scenes was Jason's death ...

Wow pure trash! Had to walk out... I gave it a hour but just couldn't take it...

Horrible Soundtrack (Night Ranger, and Rap), CGI Gore, Naked females every 10 mins, Jason using a bow and arrow... and hitting the guy in the head at 50 mph... Bear traps... Hanging the girl over the fire in a sleeping bag... I walked out when they set off the trip wire to ring the bells to let Jason know there was someone in the woods...Glad they saved a little money and just used the Texas Chainsaw Remake sets that was pretty smart. Oh Yeah the little Miss Crazy Ralph... we just stay off his paths... PURE FUCKING TRASH! Oh yeah Derek Mears was the worst fucking Jason ever this flick made Friday 5 look bad ass and Part 8 look down right good!JUST SAY NO TO CGI GORE!

That's just me Personally I HATED it! What sucks is everyone knows I'm a huge Friday fan and my phone has been blowing up all morning asking about it!

Local movie house is playing part 4 tonight on the big screen so that makes it better!

Just got back myself. Best parts were Jason calculating in his kills. Mears has done a great job, hope he stays on for Pt II.

i made a new review and it has alot of stuff in the spoiler section so please read!
so. i saw the very first showing on midnight and.......................
this movie was TERRIFIC! i love this movie so much. it had GREAT cinematography and felt so much like a friday the 13th film! being a huge huge HUGE HUGE fan of the series (1-11) it was perfect for us fans of friday the 13th i thought this movie was very creepy and made me jump alot! and it had a great creepy tone!
ok what im about to say is scenes from the movie so if you do no want to spoil anything for the movie if you havent seen it STOP READING NOW......SPOILERS SPOILERS

ok this is where the spoilers start.
the opening scene was GREAT! i loved how the Mrs voorhees thing went in with the opening credits!
when mrs voorhees came the crowed cheered! she was the scariest thing i have ever scene! she was like a witch! A WITCH!!! and when the girl chopped off her head it gave me so great memories! and then we see little feet and hands (little jason) grab the machete and you here the mothers voice kill for me. make them pay! then we come to a group of kids (very funny kids) having sex drinking beer having a great time
might i say i enjoyed the humor in this movie! the opening kills were great and the sack head was terrific.
after the first quick group of kids got killed (one surviving but you dont know until you see her later in the film) the title FRIDAY THE 13TH came up and the crowed CHEEERED! then we meet clay looking for his sister whitney (the girl who survived from the beginning) and then the new crowed the character Jenna (played by Danielle Panabaker) was so lovable i was so sad and mad that she died i really was and clay was a likable chacter too and made you think he better not die! which he doesnt! and Whitney is awesome too! but you dont see her that much since she is locked up because jason thinks she looks like his mom! i loved that.
the kills were great! and the sex scenes um AKWARD and the ending.... lets talk about the ending when jason pops up from under the dock. i wish it was in slow mo and that there was happy music but i really hope this is indicating there will be a next one PLEASE GOD! i give the film........

favorite line (kind of corny but still true to the series) say hello to mommy..........IN HELL!
