That scene confuses me. Jamie doesn't appear to be dreaming yet Michael is everywhere at once. It didn't fit in...

Haha, that's true, BUT most horror movies are like that. The killer is literally EVERYWHERE at once. Makes it confusing on how they can move so fast.

If we want to get overly technical, Halloween 5 establishes a mental connection between Jamie and Micheal. Perhaps this scene foreshadowed this. She could "see" him even though he wasn't actually there. However, he had his mask and overalls in this scene although he'd yet to steal them, so maybe that notion goes right out the window.

But think back to being a young kid in a thunderstorm. Remember when every shadow and shape (remember that word) in your room was a potential boogeyman? That's what I always thought that scene was about: our childhood fear of the dark and what might be lurking in it. After all, Michael Myers was referred to as "The Shape".

The scariest scene for  me occurs in HALLOWEEN. LAURIE is trying to escape & MICHAEL is busting through the kitchen door. There is a couple of seconds when he opens the door & stares @  :emomyers:her with his arm still dangling through the broken door. Scares the hell out of me to this day!!!

I loved it when Mike woke up in part 4 and started smashin that paramedic's head into the wall before he thumbed him in the head. That other nurse sittin there screamin while she watches puts that one over the top. Cool scene and a lil scary the first time I saw it as a kid.

Actually that was probably a night terror. It was a nightmare, and she then woke up screaming, ran out of bed and into the closet to hide.

Halloween 2 when Michael pops up from the couch and stabs that girl who really had nothing to do with the plot

Michael behind the bushes and in the neighbor's yard looking up at Laure through her window were scary. I also love the ending of Halloween 4, when Jamie is revealed as the attacker. Those were chilling scenes.

How about the scene in the original part 2 where all the car tires are slashed and we see Michael's face in the driver's side mirror?

I think the part where Michael Myers emerges from that room while Tommy is beating the shit out of the door knob in Curse is the scariest. I was like OH FUCK. Michael was at his most brutal in that movie...until the remakes.

The part where he beats up the bully is uncomfortable to watch. Jesus.
