Jesus Christ, no. He's Jason Voorhees, not a member of the Locust.  Roll Eyes

Enough with the "Lole hillbilly retard" shit going around Hollywood these days. Make him Jason - unnatural, unholy, undead.

But seriosuly this is going to suck hard and will erase the bad memories of the Halloween remake and replace it with this steamy pile of shit flung on my icon.

Well...its true  Tongue

I'd have preferred blood on his mask but nay, our Jason is in the fight of his life, a battle...against himself...well crappy version of himself that is. Time will tell who the victor is..

This is going to suck. My favorite movie franchise is going to get run through the "Newer, Hipper version" machine. Hollywood needs to back off of the classics.

i like the idea of a prequel but i dont want them to explain shit.the hole mystic aspect is what makes it a movie, using your imagination not being told how and why hes been doing what hes been doing for years

From Fangoria:

Quote
Finally, there is the one movie that fans most want to see Harry Manfredini involved with: Marcus Nispel’s upcoming FRIDAY THE 13TH remake. “At this point I don’t know,” admits the composer of his potential involvement with the new Jason Voorhees opus. “I have not had any calls, but I would like very much to do it.” Take that as an invitation, New Line and Platinum Dunes! —Calum Waddell

I think they should stick with the original music, and stick with the original composer...after all, he is the on to create that fav. noise  Wink

This news showed up on Fangoria on Nov. 28th, but I just saw it now...anyhow, here it is:

Quote
The Colonel’s Crypt recently scored an exclusive interview with cinematographer Daniel Pearl (pictured), who lensed both Tobe Hooper’s original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and Marcus Nispel’s hit sequel. And it now seems likely he’ll reteam with the latter director on another redux for New Line and Platinum Dunes: the updated FRIDAY THE 13TH. “Marcus has been in touch with me plenty to talk about it,” Pearl tells the site. “He has asked me to shoot it. One of the producers called to talk to me in principle about me shooting it, that they want me to do it. I imagine it’s going to come to pass, [but] I haven’t signed a contract yet so I don’t know.”

The DP acknowledges that taking on this FRIDAY will put him under intense scrutiny from the franchise’s fans: “Here I am, I’ve done the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. I’ve done the remake. Now if I go in and do a remake of somebody else’s film, are Marcus and I offering ourselves on a platter?” Nonetheless, he states, “I think we’ll do a good job, I’m pretty sure about that.”

I'll reserve my judgement until i've seen it. But if it turns out to be utter cowshit. then at at I can find comfort in JGTH. The Hollywood arseholes can't ruin that Friday  Smiley.

Any news on who's playin Jason? Hope it's Kane Hodder or Ken Kirziner. Almost forgot, any news on Mrs. Pamela Voorhees appearing in this flick?

Absolutely pitiful. Shall we get a poor little hydrocephalic with puppy-dog eyes and a primal urge to kill yet again?

Sorry to correct you, but the term you're thinking of is Hyrdo-Phobiac, I think Hydro-pheliac would mean if lost any of the water inside him, he'd die.
