Hi guys,

I'm new on here and proud to call myself a Friday fan.

I was pretty annoyed when I found out that part 3-D on blu-ray was not being released over here in Ireland (Region B). However we did get the standard edition, which sucks (not the film of course).
I did come accross a review on amazon.co.uk from a guy saying that the american 3D edition can be played over here, which baffles me, as I have read on blu-ray.com and other places, that the 3-D version is a region A blu-ray. Maybe it's region free??

Can anyone help me out with this one?

Thank very much.

Cheers!

Not sure, as I'm Blu-Ray free for probably another few years.

What kind of DVD player do you have? Sometimes you can access the hidden menus and change the region to play out of market DVD's. Alternatively you can always pop the disc in a computer and clone it to remove the region and no this is not illegal since you have already of bought an original copy.

I know older computers allow you to play any region DVD a couple of times before it sets the region of the drive. There are ways around that too I believe.
