If I get this wrong, I shouldn't be running Camp Blood...lol

Estelle Parsons was originally the person they wanted to play Mrs. Voorhees. However she wanted many parts in the film, they didn't want that. So anyhow, they decided that Betsy would not be suspeced in the film as the killer. They wanted to fool people into thinking it could never be her.

i thought she got the part because she had her own car and could drive herself to set each day??

Well, that was the twisted version of it.

Actually, she didn't want to do the film because she thought it was shit. But her car broke down and they were offering her a certain amount and it just so happened that the new car she wanted was the same price, so she took the role.

But the question was why did the filmmakers want her. Not why she did the movie :wink:

So can anyone answer my question? LOL...the answer isn't on Camp Blood yet
