Cool!

Those DVDs are very nostalgic to me, but not as nostalgic as the Crystal Lake To Manhattan Box Set that was released in 2004.

I have the first released discs as well (1-4). I bought part 10 and part 5 only because they were $5-$6 each. 6-9 I don't care to have, same with the 1978 Halloween except for part 2 and RZ first one. Michael Myers

I sold those when the Crystal Lake to Manhattan box set came out. I still own that box set. I also own (wasted my money on) the collection that comes with the deluxe editions, the first three, FVJ, and the 2009 films on Blu-ray, and His Name was Jason on DVD.

I didn't get to buy the originals on dvd but I did purchase the From Crystal Lake To Manhattan dvd boxset when it came out. Had to go to 3 different stores to find it but it was worth it.

Internet is cheaper and faster.  Wink

But the Internet doesn't feel as rewarding as finding it in the store.

I didn't buy the DVDs the first time around.  I figured they'd do a box set at some point, so I waited till the 2004 set came out.  Very cool looking collection, although I wish they'd used the original artwork.  But, I have all my old VHS tapes for that purpose!  I've gotten rid of a lot of my VHS collection, but I'll never part with the Friday the 13ths.

The From Crystal Lake to Manhattan boxset doesn't include all of the death scenes though does it?

Does the newer boxset included all the uncut features?

I'm not sure because i don't own the new box set . From the details i read on Amazon.com , there are quite a few bonus features in the new set . Some of them weren't familiar to me , so i'm guessing that there's some new goodies to watch !

Yes, Parts 1, 4, 6, 7, and 8 have uncut scenes on the new box set. While the old box set only had 1, 6 and 7 uncut scenes.

Plus on the old Box Set 1 and 6 had this weird feature where there would be 2 screens, one with the uncut and one with the R rated one.

Love the From Crystal Lake To Manhattan boxset esp for the deleted footage from Pt VII and the commentary Johm and Kane do for it!
