Why did Jason do it so difficult?

In the end, Ginny was hiding under the bed and Jason knew she was under the bed when she peed herself, but why didn't Jason just stab a spear through the bed and into Ginny instead of pretending to leave the room?

Jason was just pissing with the pups back in his baghead days. He was bound to make a mistake or two, as he was just learning. Personally, I think his killing skills have improved tremendously with maturity. But it took years of practice for him to become the killer that he is today.

Maybe he didn't really know she was under there and did that just to see if she would come out or whatever

I'd say he also did like playing with his victims to an extent. Theres plenty of examples in the series where he could have killed just about anyone in a perfect given amount of time, but chose not to and jsut stalk them for whatever reason. Just for the film sakes, really.

Hehe, the good old "who peed" debate. Seriously, there were HUGE debates about this back in the day lol. I "think" it was also clarified by Amy Steel that it was in fact supposed to be her peeing. I can't remember. But, either way, he would have seen it, so even if it had been the rat, it would have made him suspicious.
I agree with a few posts here. I think Jason was very new to killing (a reason why Chris was not dead when she first ran into him, you know, that flashback scene from Pt. 3) but I also think he sort of wanted to toy with her OR wasn't too sure if it was her under there or not so he waited. Only thing I don't get...is how the hell did he get up on the chair without her noticing? LOL.

I've heard this argument for years lol. Seriously it sprouted huge actual arguments over if a rat could pee that much or not. But I'm almost 90% sure that someone from within the movie, and I think it was Amy, stated it was supposed to be her. I wish I could remember and point this info in the right direction. I've heard so much in the 18yrs I've run this place its hard to remember who said what where lol.
I guess though, Jason would have had to see her squeezing her eyes closed to have climbed up without her noticing. It never honestly made that much sense to me that he'd get up there without her knowing.

I think it was a combination of inexperience and thrill seeking on Jason's part. As he aged, died, returned, his kills became a little easier on his end, and more frequent because there was less thrill. It's kind of like when you've been drinking for a long time, you need more to get drunk.

He either wasn't completely sure she was under there, or if he was, he wanted to actually see her when he finished her off. Even in his human days Jason seemed to enjoy his work.
