Okk, so I just saw they released this one haha, check out the review!

This movie if you want to call it that... Is just plain bad!!! Only had 5 minutes of real footage that made no sense what so ever. The rest was recycled scenes from the first 3 films. Which also were randomly inserted and made no sense. This movie make Return To Sleepaway Camp look like a masterpiece.

You can rent it on Amazon.com HERE

Here's what the Facebook post I saw said:

From grindhouse legend 'Jim Markovic' comes the lost 1992 sequel 'Sleepaway Camp IV: The Survivor' (2012) reconstructed from archive footage

This movie is an insult to the series. They're apparently making more though in a strange set of sequels. The next one is "supposed" to be a sequel to the pt.2 & 3 storyline and then there is going to be another sequel to the original and pt.4. Looks like a trilogy of sorts for the each. Idk, it's wait and see for me on this.

I really only like the first 3...it took me awhile to get into the first one too because I had seen the other two first. 4 was utter shit to me

Ok, wait a minute. I got confused, I always considered Return to Sleepaway Camp as pt.4. So they actually finished pt.4 that came w/ the boxed set(Sleepaway Camp Survival Kit)?! WHY?!! That makes Return to Sleepaway Camp look like Oscar nominating material!

This was one that was made years ago, I think it was supposed to come out after pt. 3...but then it got thrown out the window and they made Return...now they've decided to release this  without finishing it and according to that one review put clips from the other movies in the series in there. Strange!

I can just see the company meeting playing out . . . "Any of you guys get the impression that Sleepaway Camp fans will pay money for absolutely anything that says Sleepaway Camp on the box?"

Wasn't part 4 supposidly unfinished? It was crappy, but I thought they ran out of money and everything was cut short.  I wish the series would continue (but with better material than that!)

I haven't seen it. Just one of the reviews stated that it was partially filmed but unfinished, so they added scenes from the other movies...I really have no clue though since I haven't seen it. After the last bad one, I think I'll skip this one lol

I own Return also and it's only good for a laugh. i felt they tried WAY too hard to recreate the original, especially w/ the ending. You can't recreate genius like that, you can only be influenced by it and try to make something good from it. As far as whatever the hell they're doing w/ the next film, I would probably just get it from Netflix or something first. I do have a love for this series so I have to give it the benefit of the doubt.
