I do enjoy watching this one. Some of the best kills were in it and I do want to know what else got excised for budgetary reasons.

If you believe the talk , 3/4 of the intended movie was altered due to budget concerns . Not that footage was cut per se , but that certain things weren't even set up or considered because the cost would be prohibitive .

Some of the existing scenes may have been chopped a bit though . I'd have to go back and read through the files .

Oh yeah the majority  was supposed to take place in NYC huh? Rob did a good job with what he had though.

Anyone else think this movie could've gotten a PG-13? Dont mean that in a bad way either. Seems like the scares were more psychological than bloody which isn't necessarily bad. I really think MPAA cracked down on this movie too unfortunately. I like how the movie made me think about what was really happening and Rennie was a great heroine.

It was a good movie . Vancouver was the location , again due to budget .
I'm still pissed that we didn't get to see the intended footage . JV at the statue of Liberty , etc. would've been really cool .

I agree fully. I really wouldve loved to have seen Jason dive off Lady Liberty.

I always loved when he saw the billboard with the hockey mask on it. I also love the shot where he is standing in Times Square and the camera dollies around him. That was a nice shot.

The billboard scene was well done . There were some cool shots , but i wish we'd seen a few more of the intended locations too .

Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason X, and Freddy vs. Jason are three films that are very easy to come up with things that we wish could have or would have happened or things that we might not have done had we made the film ourselves. For what these films are, I find them fun to watch and enjoy them.

Between Jason Voorhees, giant nuclear radiated iguanas, Russian madmen, and intergalactic armies, New York City has been through a lot in Hollywood.

Amen . I said something similar a while back in another thread . The films are entertainment pure and simple .

Does anyone else think that Jason's face in this movie is complete shit? I think he looked like an even cheaper version of Maniac Cop.

They might have been going for that after he was being melted by toxic waste. His face certainly did not have the same effect that his face had in Part 7. I kind of saw his face in Part 8 almost as being a zombie version of the face from Part 3.
