After over one hundred years of service, The Yankee Pedlar Inn is shutting its doors for good. The last remaining employees -Claire and Luke - are determined to uncover proof of what many believe to be one of New England's most haunted hotels. As the Inn's final days draw near, odd guests check in as the pair of minimum wage "ghost hunters" begin to experience strange and alarming events that may ultimately cause them to be mere footnotes in the hotel's long unexplained history.

I liked the director's previous film, The House of the Devil so I'm willing to give this one a chance too. I think that indie directors have a much better vision versus a lot of Hollywood types aside from some exceptions.

I don't think I liked House of the Devil. I can't remember which one that was because there were two movies that I saw around the same time, it was that one and another one and they were very alike. I think it started off decent and then went downhill, but I can't remember anything about it to make more of a statement.

I think this movie is being released On Demand in some areas first back in Dec (my company doesn't have it) and then a limited theater run early Feb.

I don't think I liked House of the Devil.

It had an 80's throwback and the main girl responds to a babysitting ad. Not a whole lot happened in that film but I loved the retro aesthetic and a few other things, not to mention the soundtrack Cool

I saw this the other day, and it is incredible! Imagine a mix of "Clerks", "Ghostbusters" and "The Shining". I highly, highly recommend it!

Also, I loved "House of the Devil". A masterclass in suspense. The ending may have been a little weak, but I enjoyed it for the most part! Ti West has a bright future...

I don't remember it now...thought I wrote in this thread when I finished it. Guess not.

I remember I was excited about it, but it wasn't very good.

I enjoyed it.  Not as fun and crazy as House of the Devil, but a good, atmospheric horror film with two pretty likeable leads.
