This is where we discuss the remake in general. If you don't think it warrants its own topic then post it here!

Does anyone think Lawrence was a bigger loser than Donnie when it came to meeting women, or was it the other way around?  Or is Chewie the real winner on this one?

This was a great reinvention, but I hope they make a sequel and give it soe Manfredini music.

Yeah the remake was really lacking in good music. The theme wasn't that bad, it just wasn't Friday The 13th...

The theme was ok, but it felt like it should have been the theme for something else, like a big budget movie about some lost or forgotten ancient war or something. lol

I missed the whole " ch-ch-ch-ha-ha-ha" thing the most.  It was only there when Jason found the mask.

Yeah, the music was good, just not for this movie. When you have something like this, you don't screw with the formula. No matter how many different actors have played 007 they've never changed from Monty Norman's classic Bond theme, and they shouldn't have changed from Manfredini for this remake, especially not if it was going back to the series' roots the way they said it was.

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing.  I agree here, Jet.

Some things you just don't mess with. Perfect example: The Curse of Michael Myers. My main complaint with that movie was where was the classic Halloween theme? You got to give the people what they want, and for Jason movies, that's Manfredini!

Well, I prefer to drive my points home with a sledgehammer, much more effective that way.

In that vein, anyone here think Manfredini's music would have made you enjoy this movie more? I know it would have for me.

I think a big problem I had with this one was the obsession with weed. I get that most of the Friday the 13th's had marijuana and drug use, but they tried to go over the top with it. A little too modern for my tastes. And yeah, we needed the original music.

I'll be watching this tonight for sure.
