I am beyond ranking the films in order anymore. I am beyond trying to think about which ones I like more then others. The truth is, I like them all just the same. To me the newest film is just as good as any of the rest of them.

I saw it the first night it came out and really enjoyed it. Then I rented the killer cut and sarted to pick it apart. I think they should have followed the original more, staying with Mrs.Voorhees as the killer. A group of friends going camping in search of weed...come on. The systematic butchering of teen after teen without really developing a story like the original, too much like the movies after part 5. The movie not happing at Camp Blood for the most part wasn't to my liking and a locket instead of a blue sweater just about sums things up of things I didn't like. Things I liked were the old Camp Blood scenes, the warning bells, Jason's bed, the mine shafts and the bear trap. The original had a story to it, wish this one had a bit more of one too. Wasn't a bad movie, just needed a bit of help.

Friday the 13th 2-4 didn't happen at camp blood either. In the new one you got to know who each character is just as much as you do in any other Friday movie, including the first four. These movies are not meant for character development.

Come to think of it, part 5, 7 8 and X weren't at Camp Blood either.

Part 8 started there and Part 9 had a sequence there. Freddy vs. Jason ended up there.

I love the movie and hope we do get to see a sequel soon. I do think it'll happen.  I just hope it'll b soon. That ending was too good not to keep going u know?

I'm happy whenever MTV airs the movie even though I feel like they really didn't promote it that much. MTV back in the day would always go out of their way to promote horror movies like the movies in the Friday and Nightmare franchises. They always had Freddy hosting music video shows and aired the older films when they were on tv. Jason even got some airtime on the network too with the music video from Alice Cooper u know?

Then when the new movie came out in 2009, MTV didn't really do anything to promote it I feel. They were giving tons of airtime to promoting Notorious which I get. Biggie was a big influence on music and the channel but Jason is old school. He shouldve been given just as much promotion. I think MTV helped produce and release the movie so that's why they gave Notorious a hand in promotion but being a horror fan it didn't sit well that MTV seemed to ignore our antihero Jason Voorhees because they came out so close. Notorious is a good movie but ill always stick with Friday The 13th. Just kind of sticks in my craw that a network lioe MTV which devoted so much time to getting horror movies promoted to the masses at the network's peak kind of snubbed a great horror movie.

Hope its ok I vented a little u know?

It's ok with ME, and I share your desire to see F13 promoted more, especially in terms of a new movie!!!!

Aren't we all just a bunch of greedy bastards ?!! LOLOLOL

We want more Jason !!! Bring it on and keep 'em coming .
Eagerly awaiting a follow up to the 2009 reboot . Mears could and should be the new Kane Hodder . He made the role his own for that flick , now he should keep holding the flag high .

Derek did say he hopes to play Jason again as long as the fans want him to. I'm all for it.

The flag should have a hockey mask on it.
