Camp Blood: The Home of Jason Voorhees

Friday The 13th Part 4

The cabin used as the Jarvis home is located in Topanga Canyon, California just north of L.A. It is a real house, and is available as a filming location through Plan-It-Locations or CinemaScout (with address).

The "party house" next door does not exist today and was built specifically for the movie based on scenes called for in the script. It was just a shell of a house, there were no interiors. It is rumored that the house was actually moved elsewhere and used in other films.

The "Jarvis" cabin has also been used in the movie "Eraser" and "Ed Gein". You can also see inside the house on the DVD "His Name Was Jason"

The beginning was filmed at the Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio where Part 3 was originally shot.

The house is on private property, so as always, if you visit the location, you do so at your own risk.
