Friday The 13th Part 3D was filmed in Green Valley, California & Veluzat Motion Picture Ranch part of the Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio in Newhall, CA.

The house and lake were built for the movie. The house never really had a 2nd floor, the stairs went up to nothing. Because there wasn't much room for a big lake, they made a small one and shot from different perspectives.

Production stopped for one day when the house that was being used was infested with bees.

Sadly the house burnt to the ground in 2006. Arson was suspected. However, the barn still stands as of 2009.
