Freddy Vs. Jason was filmed in Vancouver, Canada as well as Toronto, and Buntzen Lake in Ioco, Canada.

The Woodlands abandoned asylum in New Westminster was used for Freddy's Boiler room scenes. Another closed asylum, Belleview, was used for some institution scenes.

A real cornfield on the outskirts of Vancouver was used for the rave scene.

A large water tank located at the University of British Columbia was also used. One scene filmed here was when Freddy shows his demon face. Some scenes from Jason Takes Manhattan were filmed inside the University of British Columbia's Ocean Research Center.
